Gwinnett County Public Schools is Georgia's largest district, with a cluster system that assigns by address. Forsyth County Schools ranks among the state's top systems with roughly 55,000 students. For families, the school decision comes first, and both counties make it a legible comparison.
The commute line
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is Delta's largest hub and one of the world's busiest airports, with nonstop flights to cities across Europe and the Americas. Nonstop Frankfurt to Atlanta flights run about nine and a half to ten and a half hours westbound, per Delta and Lufthansa schedules. From the airport, I-85 runs straight through Gwinnett and I-985 reaches the north Georgia corridor.
The growth math
Metro Atlanta added roughly 64,400 residents in the 11-county core in the year ending April 2025, per the Atlanta Regional Commission, with Gwinnett adding about 15,200 of them. Sustained household growth is the slow, steady demand driver behind the region's housing market.
